Mumbai, India – July 20, 2016 – Thermaltake has taken PC security protection a step further by releasing PC Off Remote Control. This newly added function of the Smart Power Management (SPM) Platform is applied to all series of the Toughpower DPS G Power Supply. PC Off Remote Control aims to minimize the risk of damage to internal components, and help PC systems become more reliable and efficient. Through the PC Off Remote Control, when the DPS G PC APP detects any abnormality from the PSU, a warning alert will be automatically sent to users via the DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud Web and DPS G Mobile APP. After receiving the message, users can immediately turn off or reboot their PC through the SPM Cloud Web or the Mobile APP on their mobile devices anywhere. To save the energy and electricity cost, PC Off Remote Control also allows users to remotely schedule a shutdown for their system either through the SPM Cloud Web or the Mobile APP. PC Users can reinforce their PC security protection with Thermaltake by downloading the latest version of the SPM Platform.

What is Smart Power Management (SPM)?
Thermaltake would like to raise the awareness on global warming issue to all PC DIY/ PC users through Smart Power Management (SPM) platform. SPM is a cloud computing platform that tracks and analyzes PC electricity consumption, allows users to observe and learn their own energy consumption whereby alter their behaviour to achieve the goal of reducing CO2 emission together to contribute to slowing global warming.

The Latest Enhancements to the Smart Power Management (SPM) Platform
PC Off Remote Control
Users are capable of accessing the power usage data through Android or iOS devices anytime and anywhere. Real-time warning alert will be sent out from DPS G PC APP to the SPM once the fan fails, when the temperature is overheated (over 140℉/60℃) or even when the voltage is over/under 5% of the normal voltage level. Meanwhile, the SPM will push the real-time warning alert to the DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud Web and DPS G Mobile APP immediately. To minimize any potential damages caused by PSU failures, after receiving the warning message, users can use PC Off Remote Control to immediately turn off or reboot their PC through the Mobile APP on their mobile phone or the SPM Cloud Web on the notebook anywhere. Moreover, this innovative function provides a more efficient way to help users save on energy and electricity cost. The PC Off Remote Control allows users to remotely schedule a shutdown for their system either by the SPM Cloud Web or the Mobile APP.
